Arnold R. Corson
MILO – Arnold R. Corson, (aka: Papa Arnu) beloved husband and father, passed away peacefully March 11, 2017, with his family present at Mayo Regional Hospital, due to complications of a stroke. He was predeceased by his wife of 56 years, Joan Corson, his father Bernal Corson and mother Phildora Carr. Arnold was born October 14, 1932 in Skowhegan the son of Bernal and Phildora (Boulette) Corson. He was a well-loved man and very devoted to his family. He was noted as the oldest employee of Guilford Industries, giving 44 years of dedication. Arnold also served as Assistant Chief of Sangerville Fire Department for several years. After retirement he and his wife fulfilled their dreams by traveling to Florida winters, camping and sharing good times with friends.
Arnold is survived by five daughters, Brenda Kelley and husband Kenneth of Sebec, Cheryl Awalt and companion Scott Davis of Sangerville, Roxanne Turbott and husband Jeff of Kansas, Wanda Drummond and husband Peter of Sangerville and Melissa True and husband Mike of Guilford. Also surviving are brothers, Delmont Corson, Richard Carr and sister Sandra Lanquet along with many special grandchildren.
