Winners announced in SeDoMoCha’s ‘Building the Future’ logo contest

DOVER-FOXCROFT — The “Building the Future” Logo Design Challenge was created as an authentic learning experience for the grade 8 class at the SeDoMoCha School. The contest served as a creative way to connect students with the community and the new school vision statement “Building the Future.”
Eighth-graders researched how the elements and principles of art make up great logo design and they brainstormed ideas in a sketched series. Narrowing the series to the single best concept through discussion and conferencing, students sharpened their final designs to be presented to the middle school improvement committee. The finished logo designs were discussed, deliberated over and narrowed down to eight finalists. A survey was developed and distributed to stakeholders in order to choose the top pair.
The final two logos will represent the SeDoMoCha School in a variety of ways including on sports gear and a new letterhead. The “Building the Future” Logo Design Challenge winners are Austin Gil and Rebecca Thomas.
