Austin advised the next meeting will be March 21 with Roxy McGlauflin and Wendy Hutchins as hostesses. The members will meet at the American Legion on Thursday to play bingo to benefit the Legion.

The GFWC Maine Spring Convention will be May 11-12 at Hollywood Slots in Bangor. Some members plan to attend.
Cindy Freeman-Cyr of the Spruce Run-Womancare Alliance requested club’s help for a “Caring Heart and Hands” luncheon. Members volunteered to make soups and sandwiches and some offered to serve. This falls under the club’s signature project of domestic violence awareness. Caring Hearts and Hands provides support for grandparents raising their grandchildren.
With no further business, the meeting was adjourned and the Leighton family took over the program. Members were asked to bring cookies or cakes to decorate as the masters, Kim and David Leighton, showed them how to decorate. Many had frosting all over themselves and some ate it right from the bag. Much laughter and fun ensued. Everyone enjoyed the evening, including the Leightons.
The next club meeting will be March 21.
