Sebec 4 Corners Event Center and Ye Olde Gift Shoppe ready for spring season

    SEBEC — The first thought that enters people’s minds when they enter this building, whether upstairs in the Event Center, or downstairs, in the Gift Shoppe is: “Wow, this place is really bigger than it looks!” The event center has been the site for many weddings, birthday parties and meetings, and everyone renting it is surprised at how much space it has and how many people they fit inside. There are still openings available for this year.

    As for the Ye Olde Gift Shoppe, they have just expanded into a new section to house their clothes closet. This Shoppe is definitely more than just a “craft and gift” store. They have used furniture, antiques, estate jewelry, baby things, bathing suits, clothing and craft and sewing supplies, as well as the crafts of many talented people in the area.
    Some of those crafts include wooden bowls, candles, quilts, stained glass, tole painted items, handmade jewelry, placemats, pot holders, customized switch plates, unique ceramic items, crocheted dollies and much more
    One never knows what will show up from week-to-week, as new stuff arrives with every new person who works there. Room is still available for anyone who’d like to participate in this unique business venture.
    For a preview of what to expect in the Ye Olde Gift Shoppe, patrons can view the shop’s Facebook page. Baird has a page devoted to the many gifts and crafts available at her store at 676 Milo Road in Sebec.
    “A lot of people in the shop are already on Facebook and they thought it would be a wonderful idea to show all of the great items available at the Ye Olde Gift Shoppe,” Baird said.
    The Ye Olde Gift Shoppe is open Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Sundays from 1 to 4 p.m.
