John Corriveau, 96, formerly of Patten, died July 20, 2016 at the Aroostook Medical Center. He was born May 15, 1920 in Portage Lake, ME, son of George and Eveline (Theriault) Corriveau. John proudly served in the U.S. Army during WWII in North Africa and Italy.
He is survived by his sisters-in-law Charlotte Corriveau of Augusta, ME and Arlene Corriveau of Ypsilanti, MI; brother-in-law Kenneth Ouellette and his wife Jeannine of Carroll Plantation, ME; and many nieces and nephews.
John was predeceased by his parents, his loving wife of 69 years, Ida; his three sisters Mary Bishop,Rose Jones, and Georgiana Corriveau; his five brothers Joseph, Rosario, Abel, Albert and Leon.
Honoring John’s wishes there will be no funeral or memorial service. John’s final words were, “Tell everyone I love them.” His family sends a very special thank you to all the staff at Leisure Village in Presque Isle, Maine who became friends to John and Ida over the past 13 years.
