Informational kiosk coming to downtown Milo
MILO — Thanks to the generosity of Milo residents and Tradewinds Market, the new informational kiosk for downtown Milo is nearing completion.
Friends of Milo partnered with the Milo Economic Development Committee, Milo Select Board, Mountain View Correctional Facility, Harris Lumber and Bishop Concrete to turn this project from an idea into reality. The crew from Mountain View did a wonderful job with construction, and Harris Lumber and Bishop Concrete generously offered discounts on materials and labor as their part of this community investment.
Friends of Milo is now working with JSI to secure display cases that will hold maps and information about Milo and the surrounding area. Cork boards will also be included, giving local groups and businesses a place to post notices and announcements.

DOWNTOWN KIOSK — The new information kiosk in downtown Milo is nearing completion. Friends of Milo partnered with the Milo Economic Development Committee, Milo Select Board, Mountain View Correctional Facility, Harris Lumber and Bishop Concrete to make the kiosk a reality.

Once complete, the kiosk will serve as a 24/7 resource for residents and visitors alike, directing travelers to the Milo and Points North Visitor Center and to online resources for additional information. Sited in a highly visible downtown location between Elaine’s Bakery and Milo House of Pizza and facing the intersection of Elm and Main streets, it’s designed to catch the eye of those passing through — and hopefully encourage them to stop, look around and discover what Milo has to offer.
Organizers believe the kiosk will help boost visits to the Harrigan Learning Center & Museum, the Milo Historical Society Museum, the Milo Public Library, the beautiful outdoor areas and the many local businesses that make Milo such a special place to live and visit.
Friends of Milo extends its thanks to everyone who supported and assisted with this project, from the generous local donors to the community partners who helped bring it to life.
