Herrick hired as Foxcroft Academy softball head coach
DOVER-FOXCROFT — Foxcroft Academy Athletic Administrator Jaclyn Tourtelotte is pleased to announce the hiring of Addyson Herrick as the school’s new softball coach, doing so in an announcement on the school Facebook page. Herrick succeeds Mike Carbral, who led the Ponies for the past five seasons.
Last season Herrick served as the Ponies’ assistant softball coach and has an impressive background in the sport. She won the 2019 Class C North championship while at Dexter Regional High School and continued her playing career at Central Maine Community College where her team reached the USCAA Small College World Series. Herrick graduated from Thomas College in Waterville in 2025 with a degree in business management and is currently pursuing a nursing degree at Beal University in Bangor.

NEW HEAD COACH — Dexter’s Addyson Herrick reaches for the throw at second with Brooke McKenney of Madison running to the base during the 2019 Class C championship in Brewer. Herrick has been named Foxcroft Academy softball head coach after serving as an assistant in 2025.
“Addyson has a strong background in softball, making her a valuable addition to our program here at Foxcroft Academy,” Tourtelotte said. “Last season, she served as our assistant coach and was an excellent role model for our student-athletes. She brings a lot of energy, which will help elevate the team’s competitive level. In her new role as head coach for the Ponies, I am confident she will continue to provide great support to the team.”
Foxcroft is coming off a playoff appearance in Class C North last season, but this year the Ponies will move back to Class B North competition after the Maine Principals’ Association reclassified all sports for this school year.
Conditioning practice for softball (and baseball) will begin on Monday, March 23 with full practices beginning on Monday, March 30. The first regular-season games are scheduled to start in mid-April.
