Piscataquis Democrats contribute $1,000 to Piscataquis Regional Food Center
DOVER-FOXCROFT — Piscataquis County Democrats recently raised $1,000 for the Piscataquis Regional Food Center in Dover-Foxcroft. The check was presented to Executive Director Kelly Sirimoglu along with needed food items.
Sirimoglu shared how this money is even more critical now as the number of families using the food center increases every week. Last year they served 537 unique households representing 1,140 individuals with 180 households turning to them for the first time. Presently they are averaging five new households every week.

With this $1,000 donation, Piscataquis Democrats have become a sponsor of the Cold Hands & Warm Hearts luncheon given by PRFC on Feb. 28.
The service committee of the Piscataquis County Democratic Committee will continue its mission of collecting donations to fight hunger with all proceeds going to PRFC. Close to $13,000 has been raised since 2021 with this latest donation.
