Registration open for Center Theatre camps
The Center Theatre announced that registration is open for both their April Vacation Drama Camp and Children’s Summer Drama Camp. The camps are their longest-running program, beginning in 1999 before the Center Theatre building had even been renovated. This summer, camps will be held in Greenville, Milo and Monson as well as Dover-Foxcroft. The April Vacation Camp will be held at the Center Theatre from April 20-24.
“Considering the cold weather we’ve been dealing with, it’s awfully exciting to be thinking about summer again,” said Patrick Myers, the theatre’s executive director. “Thanks to the support of many individuals and local organizations, we were able to raise the money to hire two staff members for the summer to assist at our camps. We couldn’t be more grateful to everyone who contributed.”
The summer camp program will take place at the East Sangerville Grange from June 22 through July 3, Monson from July 6-17, Greenville from July 20-31, a second camp at the East Sangerville Grange July 27 through Aug. 7, and a final camp in Milo from Aug. 10-21.

DRAMA CAMP — Campers enjoy some creative play at the Center Theatre Children’s Summer Drama Camp. Registration is open for the April Vacation Drama Camp and Children’s Summer Drama Camp.
The Summer Drama Camps and April Vacation Camps are open to kids 6-13 years of age. Each camp will run from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on weekdays. During the camps, children learn about all aspects of making a play, from sets, costumes and props to acting, improvisation and teamwork. Where possible, Center Theatre works with local summer meal programs to provide a free, healthy lunch to campers, and in some cases, breakfast, as well.
The Center Theatre is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization with a mission to engage and inspire by making arts, education and entertainment accessible to our rural communities and in 2026 is celebrating the 20th anniversary of reopening the historic theater.
