Mainely Spinners demo at Sea Dog Brewing Company

BANGOR — The Mainely Spinners, current holders of the “Best Time” in the 2026 International Back to Back Wool Challenge, will be giving a lively and informative demonstration at the Sea Dog Brewing Company as part of the Bangor Winter Farmers’ Market from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 15.

Fresh, after the recent B2B Challenge, the Mainely Spinners are already gearing up for the 2027 event. The Mainely Spinners include members from Augusta, Brownville, Dexter, Dover-Foxcroft, Lagrange, Lee and Springfield

The Mainely Spinners will have garments they have created for sale/donation while at the event. Items include, but are not limited to scarves, mittens, hats (including red hats), sweaters, shawls, and whimsical wool sculptures(?).
If you would like information about spinning, the fiber arts or just to watch and learn about an ancient art-skill, come on down to see the Mainely Spinners in action. If you’d like to learn how to spin, sit down at one of our wheels and we’ll show you how.
