PCHS indoor track concludes the regular season
ORONO — Both Piscataquis Community High School indoor track and field teams came in seventh in the final Penobscot Valley Conference/Eastern Maine Indoor Track League meet of the regular season on Jan. 30 at the New Balance Field House on the campus of the University of Maine.
The Pirate boys scored 10 points to place seventh among a field of eight teams.
Sophomore Oliver Luckovskis had the second-best 800 time at the competition in 2 minutes, 13.23 seconds. He trailed only the 2:06.25 for John Bapst Memorial High School of Bangor junior Beckham Rand.
PCHS junior Phoenix Brown came in fifth in the triple jump with his distance of exactly 36 feet.
The Pirate girls were seventh among seven schools with a score of seven points.
Sophomore Ava Edes and John Bapst sophomore Maggie Robichaud tied for third in the high jump as each cleared a height of 4-08.
Sophomore Macie Littlefield was fifth in the 55-meter hurdle finals with her time of 11.17 seconds.
