Center Theatre to host Valentine’s dance

DOVER-FOXCROFT – Tickets are now available for the Center Theatre’s Sweetheart’s Dance. The event begins at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 7 at Central Hall Commons, 152 E. Main St.

The popular Foxcroft Academy Alumni Jazz Band will provide live music for the evening. An optional group dance lesson will be offered by Beth Weatherbee before the band starts playing.

Center Theatre Executive Director, Patrick Myers, said he is looking forward to the fundraising event.

“Last year was the first year offering a Valentine’s dance in the community. It was well received so we’re excited to keep it going in 2026,” he said.

Myers said that ticket holders will also be able to enjoy a complimentary dessert and appetizer buffet along with soft drinks. The Center Theatre will be providing a cash bar.

More information on the dance and other Center Theatre programming can be found at the Center Theatre’s website, www.centertheatre.org, calling 207-564-8943 or by dropping in at 20 East Main St. daily between noon and 7 p.m.

2026 marks the 20th anniversary of the reopening of the Center Theatre as a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization with a mission to engage and inspire by making arts, education and entertainment accessible to our rural communities.
