Thompson Free Library, located at 186 East Main St. in Dover-Foxcroft, is planning a wonderful weekend of books, artists and artisans to kick off the holiday season Nov. 13-15. The weekend kicks off early on Thursday, Nov. 13 with our ever-popular 10 cent book basement book sale! Hundreds of books, DVDs and puzzles will be available for just a dime from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 3-7 p.m.
The Saturday evening basement book sale will coincide with our first ever authors and artisans night market, which will be perfect for those looking to start the holiday gift-giving season. The festivities start at 3 p.m. and continue until 7 p.m. Outside the library, artists will be selling their diverse wares, from jewelry to knitting to reiki sessions. Meanwhile, inside the library authors both local and from around the state will be showcasing their books. Penquis Youth Hockey will be scooping out yummy soups, chili and more in the pavilion, and the Foxcroft Academy Key Club will be handing out warm drinks. Admission is free and it will be a great time for all ages!
