Davis named Maine County Commissioner of October

Paul Davis of Sangerville was selected Maine County Commissioner of October in honor of his community service by Spirit of America Foundation’s Maine Chapter.

Davis currently serves as a commissioner in Piscataquis County. Prior to that he was a member of the Maine State Senate for 16 years and a member of the Maine House of Representatives for six years.

Davis is a former Maine state trooper and a current board member of Sportsman’s Alliance of Maine. He also has served on a number of committees in the Town of Sangerville, including the appeals board, budget committee, building committee and park committee. He has done much to help the Spirit of America program and the cause of volunteerism in other ways over the years.

Maine Spirit of America is a chapter of Spirit of America Foundation, an organization promoting community service.
