Central Hall Commons to host volunteer fair

DOVER-FOXCROFT – Central Hall Commons, the Piscataquis Regional Food Center, the Center Theatre and other community organizations are hosting a community volunteer fair from 1-4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 25. The event will take place at Central Hall Commons, located at 152 East Main St. in Dover-Foxcroft.

The fair is designed to connect local citizens with the many participating organizations in the region who are seeking volunteer support. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore multiple volunteer opportunities and learn how they can make a difference in their community. Door prizes will also be awarded throughout the event and many organizations will be offering giveaways.

Center Theatre Executive Director Patrick Myers emphasized the importance of community involvement.

“Volunteerism is so important for organizations in our community,” he said. “It can also help students fulfill community service requirements and adults with work requirements who aren’t able to find part-time employment. It’s also a rewarding activity for just about anyone!”

The event aims to help community members get involved, fulfill requirements and support the vital work of local nonprofits. For more information on the volunteer fair, or if you’re an organization that wants to participate, please contact Corinne Rebman at 207-564-8943 or crebman@centertheatre.org.
