UMaine Extension presents composting webinar for gardeners of all levels

University of Maine Cooperative Extension will conclude its Fall Gardening Webinar Series with “A Beginner’s Guide to Composting” on Tuesday, Oct. 14 from 6-7:15 p.m.

Led by Nick Rowley, UMaine Extension sustainable agriculture and horticulture professional, this webinar will introduce participants to the fundamentals of composting at home. Topics will include how to start and maintain a healthy compost pile, troubleshooting common issues, and how to use finished compost to improve soil health and support plant growth. Designed for gardeners of all levels, this session will offer practical, accessible tips for anyone looking to reduce waste and build healthier gardens.
