GUILFORD — Friends of Community Fitness is pleased to announce that it has received a $1,000 grant from Dover-Foxcroft Kiwanis Charities in support of its Homeschool Open Gym program.
For over three years Community Fitness has hosted Homeschool Open Gym twice a week during the school year, offering a free, safe and welcoming space for families to stay active. Open to all ages and requiring no membership, the program encourages healthy lifestyles through play, movement and social connection. Families have access to toys, games and equipment that support fun and active participation.
This new funding from Dover-Foxcroft Kiwanis Charities will help cover facility costs for the program and provide new toys and equipment to enhance the experience for participants.
