Premier acapella groups to appear at Cenger Theatre gala
DOVER-FOXCROFT – The Center Theatre for the Performing Arts announced today that two of Maine’s premier acapella groups, the Maine Steiners and UMaine Renaissance, will be performing at the annual Center Theatre Harvest Gala. The fundraising event begins at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 4 at Central Hall Commons, 152 E. Main St.
“The Harvest Gala was originally conceived by past Center Theatre Board member and long-time supporter Rusty Willette,” said Patrick Myers, the Center Theatre’s executive director. “He wanted to create a celebratory event to highlight the theatre’s vital work in the community. I’m very much looking forward to this year’s event!”
Tickets for the gala include hors d’oeuvres, desserts and refreshments. Guests will be entertained by the musical stylings of the Maine Steiners and the UMaine Renaissance, with a few more surprises planned for the evening. A cash bar will also be available. Attendees are encouraged to wear their best flannel, enjoy the end of summer with friends, and support the mission of the Center Theatre.
Tickets are $30 per person, $50 per couple or $200 for a table of eight. Tickets can be purchased online at CenterTheatre.org, by calling the box office at 207-564-8943 or by visiting in person at 20 East Main St.
The Center Theatre is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization with a mission to engage and inspire by making arts, education and entertainment accessible to our rural communities.
