
GFWC/Miosac Club news
DOVER-FOXCROFT — The GFWC/Miosac Club met Sept. 16 at the Dover-Foxcroft Congregational Church with 12 members responding to roll call.
President Laurie Ducat called the meeting to order. She thanked hostesses Betsey Ryan, Kathy Ryder and Roxy McGlauflin. McGlauflin led the Club Collect, Pledge of Allegiance and Americans Creed. Recording Secretary Diane Leighton read the report of the last meeting. McGlauflin read a letter of resignation from Barb Austin, a thank you from the Dover-Foxcroft Fire Department for our donation and note from Ron McGlauflin.

DONATION COLLECTION — Members of the GFWC/Miosac Club collected sanitary products for girls who cannot afford them or have access through the National Day Of Sharing Project.
Lookout Chair Brenda Quiet reported no illnesses or surgeries! Vice President/Publicity Chair Minnie McCormick noted the last news was of the wine and cheese party. Ryan distributed new club booklets.
GFWCMaine Fall Conference will be in Augusta on Sept. 24 and four club members will be attending.
Members then participated in eating the soups prepared by hostesses Ryan, McGlauflin and Ryder.
Members participated in the National Day of Service by contributing sanitary products for ‘The Girls”! Bras and underwear will be collected at the conference for the above project.
The next meeting will be Oct. 7 with Harmony Ingraham as the speaker.
