Maine Highlands Federal Credit Union donation drive provides baby supplies to area organizations
DEXTER — Maine Highlands Federal Credit Union recently wrapped up its Project Tiny Toes initiative, a summer-long donation drive that collected essential baby supplies for families in need. From June through September, all six MHFCU branch locations served as drop-off points for new and unopened items, resulting in a generous outpouring of support from members and employees.
Thanks to this community effort, MHFCU gathered a wide range of baby essentials including diapers, wipes, clothing, bottles, soaps, lotions and more.
“Diaper fundraisers play an important role in small communities meeting a very real, and often overlooked, need. Nowadays, many families struggle to afford diapers and baby essentials on top of the stress of other financial burdens. Thanks to the generosity of our members and employees, MHFCU was able to donate a substantial amount of baby items to three organizations within our field of membership that support families in our local communities. Thank you to everyone for your kindness,” said Executive Assistant Breanna Goulette.
