Shiretown Singers rehearsals start

DOVER-FOXCROFT — The Shiretown Singers welcome new members for their fall 2025 season. Following a triumphant debut spring concert, they are excited to begin rehearsals in September, and they invite new members who love to sing, or wish they could!

All are welcome on Thursday, Sept. 18 at 6 p.m. at the Central Hall Commons for our first rehearsal. No experience is needed, and no auditions are required.

During the fall season we will prepare for a concert to be held on Sunday, Dec. 14, and also for caroling at Hometown Holidays on Dec. 6. Artistic Director Allison Aldrich Smith has over 40 years of experience working with singers at all levels of ability. 

“I truly believe that it’s human nature to sing together, and it’s something we’ve lost in our culture. The Shiretown Singers are a very welcoming community choir — we urge everyone to come on Sept. 18 to check us out!,” she said.
