PCSWCD’s eighth annual chainsaw safety program

WILLIAMSBURG TOWNSHIP — The Piscataquis County Soil and Water Conservation District is excited to offer our eighth annual chainsaw safety workshop! We will be working in collaboration with Sam Heffner and Jack Houtz to present a comprehensive chainsaw safety offering. This workshop is being offered to women only and will provide a learning environment for women to learn about maintenance, operation and safe use of chainsaws. The workshop is two days, Sept. 27-28, and is held at the Williamsburg Forest.

The chainsaw safety workshop will provide participants with a well-rounded introduction on how they should safely handle, maintain and use a chainsaw. We will be hosting presenters Heffner, a Maine forest ranger, and Jack Houtz, forest technician, who will provide hands-on instruction, demonstrations and information about chainsaw usage.
