Kennedy and Foss at Central Hall Commons
DOVER-FOXCROFT — Owen Kennedy and Benjamin Foss will give a combined concert and contra dance on Saturday, Aug. 9 from 6-9 p.m. at Central Hall Commons, 152 East Main St. This event is sponsored by the Maine Highlands Council for the Arts. Kennedy made a splash when he played in April 2024 with guitarist Ethan Tischler, and we’re excited to have him return with Foss.
Maine musician Kennedy is an award-winning fiddler, also well-versed in banjo and other instruments. His love of traditional music and enthusiasm for performing have taken him all over New England, into Maritime Canada, and over to Scotland and Shetland.
Foss is a musician and luthier based near Belfast. He is passionate about preserving the traditions of New England tunes, songs and dances and is always excited to share his knowledge with the people around him. When he’s not playing, he’s building and restoring guitars, banjos and mandolins in Brooks.
