
2025 Piscataquis River Festival
GRAND MARSHAL — The annual Piscataquis River Festival returned to Guilford on Saturday and the day included a mid-morning parade. Maine singer Julia Gagnon of “American Idol” fame served as the grand marshal. That evening Gagnon took to the music stage to perform for festival attendees.
50TH REUNION — The Piscataquis Community High School Class of 1975 marked 50 years since graduating with members of the class taking part in the Piscataquis River Festival parade on July 26 through downtown Guilford.
BIKE PARADE — Growing Sprouts Learning Center, LLC had young Piscataquis River Festival parade participants walking and riding their bikes to hand out candy along the route.
PARADE EXERCISE — Friends of Community Fitness parade representatives help attendees of the procession think about exercising at the High Street facility.
KEEP CALM AND SWAB — Puritan Medical Products encouraged Piscataquis River Festival parade attendees on Saturday morning to swab on.
HAWAIIAN-THEMED — The Recovery Wellness Community Center of Sangerville had a float in Saturday’s Piscataquis River Festival parade through downtown Guilford.
ELI’ MARKET — The Eli’s Market float in the Piscataquis River Festival parade was a very large shopping cart.
