Free Medicare information sessions

The Eastern Area Agency on Aging and Northern Light Health invite the community to attend free presentations to learn all about Medicare on Wednesday, July 30 at 1 p.m. at Northern Light Mayo Hospital in Dover-Foxcroft and Wednesday, Aug. 13 at 1 p.m. at Northern Light CA Dean Hospital in Greenville.

Topics to be covered will include what Medicare is and how it works, when and how to enroll and the key components of the program including Original Medicare, prescription coverage, supplemental insurance, Medicare Advantage Plans and Medicare Savings Programs.

The presentations are ideal for anyone who is 65 years of age or nearing retirement and who has questions about coverage options, the differences between Medicare and Medicare Advantage Plans and things to think about when choosing a plan.

Eastern Area Agency on Aging staff will lead the presentations. There is no cost to attend, and no RSVP is required. These presentations are informational and educational — no insurance plans will be sold. For more information, please call 207-564-4391.
