Monson Historical Society hosts hiker/author Kish

MONSON — On Saturday, July 19 the Monson Museum will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and the Monson Historical Society will also be hosting Summerfest speaker Carey Kish at 11 a.m. at the Moore Building.

Kish has travelled 7,500 miles as a long distance hiker. His journeys include the Appalachian Trail (twice), Pacific Crest Trail and the Continental Divide Trail, earning him the “Triple Crown” of American hiking. Kish has published “Beer Hiking New England” and “Best Day Hikes Along the Maine Coast”, as well as being editor of the Maine Mountain Guide.
