Driver hit two moose in Big Moose Township

BIG MOOSE TOWNSHIP — A driver hit two moose early Wednesday morning, July 16 in Big Moose Township.

The driver was traveling in a pickup truck on Rockwood Road about 2:07 a.m. when they hit two moose standing in the road, according to the Greenville Fire Department.

The driver wasn’t injured, but the truck was heavily damaged.

Both moose died, the department said.

The department urged drivers to be cautious and noted that the stretch of Rockwood Road where the crash happened is very dark and a moose hangout spot.
