Registration open for Northern Light CA Dean Hospital Bike and Boat

GREENVILLE — Registration is now open for Bike and Boat, Northern Light CA Dean Hospital’s family-friendly cycle and cruise adventure that supports healthcare in the Moosehead Lake Region.

The 2025 Bike and Boat will take place on Sunday, Sept. 14 in Greenville. Registration will begin at 9 a.m. at the Moosehead Marine Museum and the ride will kick off at 9:45 a.m. All ages are welcome. Participants can ride the scenic 19.5-mile bike route to Rockwood and take the Katahdin Steamship back to Greenville or ride the boat both ways, from Greenville to Rockwood and back. Registration includes transportation on the boat, live music from the Josh Guthrie Band, a boxed lunch and family and team photos.

A new incentive for 2025 is a lululemon Everywhere Belt Bag. Participants who raise at least $300 will earn their choice of a belt bag or custom Sea Bag Bike and Boat wristlet. Those who raise $550 or more will receive a custom Sea Bag Bike and Boat medium tote. For the first time, these items can also be purchased during registration.

Organizers hope to build upon last year’s highly successful event, which set a participation record with nearly 100 cyclists. More than $13,000 was raised to support the CA Dean Hospital Greatest Needs Fund. CA Dean Hospital, a nonprofit organization, relies on community support to meet its rural patient care mission.

“Bike and Boat is a unique event that brings families and friends together to support a great cause,” says Marie Vienneau, FACHE, president, CA Dean Hospital. “The funds raised will help ensure our community can continue to receive the high-quality care they’ve come to expect from CA Dean Hospital.”
