GFWC Miosac Club news

DOVER-FOXCROFT — Several GFWC Miosac Club members gathered at the home of Roxy McGlauflin to hear about her trip to Africa. McGlauflin and several family members attended a wedding of her nephew.

They were very secure in their homes as the windows and doors are covered with big iron bars for safety. Several outings were enjoyed, riding in high jeeps with bars around the vehicle. Native animals could be seen in the distance. The meals were all wonderful. High tea was observed and the china was beautiful.

At the Reservation, they were able to stay at Madikwe Review Lodge for two days and two nights. They took in four safaris riding in big high jeeps.

The evening before the wedding, McGlauflin was approached by one of the native dancers and asked to join them. He threw her a stick like he was using and a hat and she happily joined him and had fun.

McGlauflin displayed the items she brought home. very beautiful and colorful small baskets made of wire and other items. Things at the market were not expensive. All of the meals, mostly buffets, were delicious.

Thank you McGlauflin for a wonderful program.
