Sunflower sculpture raffle to benefit Doctors Without Borders in Ukraine

Laurie Sproul, a floral sculptress from Brownville, is raffling one of her sunflowers to benefit Doctors Without Borders in Ukraine for the second time. The sunflower, Ukraine’s national flower, has emerged as a global symbol of resistance, unity and hope. Her first raffle, when the war started, raised over $3,000.

Tickets can be bought by anyone in the State of Maine over the age of 18. Tickets can be purchased at the Center Theatre June 16-22, where the sunflower will be on display, or by contacting Sproul through her website lauriesproul.com. The winning ticket will be drawn on July 6.
