PVC frosh track championship results

HAMPDEN — Local grade 9 athletes were among those taking part in the 2025 Penobscot Valley Conference outdoor track & field championship on June 3 at Hampden Academy.

Nicholas McCorrison of Foxcroft Academy came in second in the 400 with his time of 58.40 seconds. He also placed seventh in the 100 in 12.44 seconds.

McCorrison and Orono High School’s Logan Smith tied for seventh in the high jump as each cleared a height of 4 feet, 10 inches.

Foxcroft Academy’s Lucien Pearl finished third in the shot put with his throw of 32-05.50. Pearl was also seventh in the javelin at a distance of 90-09.

In the girls meet, Piscataquis Community High School’s Ava Edes came in third in the 300 hurdles with a time of 54.80 seconds. Edes was also fourth in the high jump at 4-06.

The Pirates had three girls in the top 10 of the shot put standings: fourth, Ella Zeller at 27-06; sixth, Lilly Boutilier at 21-11.75; and ninth, Aislynn Thomas 17-02.50.

Boutilier finished third in the javelin at a distance of 73-07. She was also seventh in the discus at 67-06 while Zeller came in fourth in the discus at 84-06.

Foxcroft Academy’s Zoey Eakright placed ninth in the 200 in a time of 30.74 seconds.
