Registration open for Northern Light CA Dean Hospital’s Whitman Memorial Golf Tournament
GREENVILLE — Registration is now open for the Forrest G. Whitman Memorial Golf Tournament, scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 7 at Mount Kineo Golf Course.
All money raised at the tournament will stay local to support patient care at CA Dean Hospital and provide scholarships for students at Greenville High School.
The tournament honors former CA Dean board member Forrest G. Whitman, a respected community leader who passed away in 2012. Several members of Whitman’s family attend the tournament each year, including Forrest’s son Burton Whitman.
The tournament will begin with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. and will take place rain or shine. Registration includes greens fees, golf cart, a light breakfast, lunch, a gift bag and water shuttle service. Awards will be presented to the top teams and individuals.

Mount Kineo Golf Course, built in the 1880s, is one of New England’s oldest and most picturesque courses. For those traveling to the tournament, accommodations are available in Greenville and surrounding communities.
“The Whitman Golf Tournament is one of the highlights of summer for CA Dean and for our community,” says Marie Vienneau, FACHE, president, Northern Light CA Dean Hospital. “Participating in the tournament is a great way to enjoy a spectacular course, support local healthcare, and help youth in the region. We appreciate our golfers and sponsors for their generosity.”
