DOVER-FOXCROFT — President Laurie Ducat called the April 15 meeting of the GFWC/Miosac Club to order. She thanked hostesses Rheba Michaud, Minnie McCormick and Vicki Moschella. There was no program.

Recording Secretary Diane Leighton took roll call and read the minutes of the last meeting.

Roxy McGlaughlin read correspondence from the hospital. Following a brief discussion, it was decided not to contribute but to offer other ideas. The secretary will follow up.

Treasurer Anne Cress read the proposed budget and it was accepted.

The sign up set for next year’s programs, hostesses and co-hostesses was circulated.

Minnie McCormick reported not much publicity as she and Moschella have not been in attendance due to illness and the Piscataquis Observer office closing. Brenda Quiet reported on a member’s illness.

Ducat reported the art show was a great success. Winning art work was taken to the district meeting but none was selected for further judging.

A ballot for five different organizations was presented and members chose three to receive a stipend from the GFWC/Miosac Club.

Under new business, the yard sale was discussed. Kathy Ryder will co-chair. Members were instructed to bring money for the birthday dinner to the next meeting. President Ducat also asked us all to bring a recruiting idea to the next meeting. She asked if the club wanted to do something at the Maine Whoopie Pie Festival. More discussion at the next meeting.

Refreshments were served by hostesses. The annual meeting will be held on May 6.
