In his prepared speech Hadley said, “The Friends of Dover-Foxcroft, a local citizen created civic and community action group, would like to officially recognize our Interim Town Manager & Communications/Grant Specialist Alsina Brenenstuhl for assisting us in partnership on mutual efforts to achieve greater municipal transparency and to improve communication between town taxpayers and town government. She has taken the lead on the development of a modern interactive website for our town which is the centerpiece to achieving results of these mutual efforts. She has been very supportive of our group’s ongoing development of a major new initiative which is a realistic vision for the future of our town we call Destination: Dover-Foxcroft. Alsina has become a valuable asset to this community, one for which we are grateful and lucky to possess.

“This honor we bestow upon Alsina today is awarded only once a year to a nominee who fits the following criteria; they must be fully dedicated to our town, its taxpayers and ongoing partnership with us while having a proven record of service and achievement in one or more of the following categories ranging from matters of civic engagement, communications and outreach, transparency efforts, community service, promotion of the town, historical preservation and many others. Nominees are not required to be a resident or taxpayer of Dover-Foxcroft but must meet a higher standard of commitment to our town and to our partnership. This year’s nominee shall join 2024 Historical Preservation Honoree Dennis Allen aka “DF Digger” in our Hall of Honor which designates each person inducted as one of our pillars of the community!

“The nominee shall be remembered with this honor as someone who is both defined by it and who defines it and as such, with the consent of the Vice Chairs Kathi Lewis and Debra Stallings, I hereby decree as founder, Sean Hadley that on this day March 24, 2025, the Friends of Dover-Foxcroft officially recognizes our first Transparency and Communications Honoree Alsina Brenenstuhl as the 2025 recipient of the honorary title, Friend of Dover-Foxcroft!

“Congratulations to our newest Hall of Honor inductee and pillar of the community designee!”
Brenenstuhl was appointed as interim town manager in late January following the departure of Jack Clukey. Last summer Brenenstuhl was hired to fill the then newly-created communications director/project manager position.
