To the Editor;
Since when does our country stab a friend in the back and leave them to the wolves, like we are doing to Ukraine? The U.S. was not “great” till after World War II, when we went all in for our friends overseas being attacked by Japan and Germany. And right after the war, with the Marshall Plan, we shared a vast amount of our wealth to our former foes, in order to build them back up, and come back to join us as national friends. It cost us a lot, in both money and lives, but it was worth it because it made us great, in both wealth and spirit, and pulled up the rest of the developed world as well. Appeasement, as Britain’s Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain showed us and as we appear to be on the verge of doing with Russia, does not work.
