Three area teams grapple at Class B wrestling championship
LEWISTON — The region’s three wrestling teams took part in the 2025 Class B championship on Saturday, Feb. 15 at The Colisee.
Dexter Regional High School scored 21 points to finish 20th among a field of 29 schools.
The Tigers’ Damiair Miller had his team’s top finish as he came in fourth at 157 pounds.
Wyatt Cram placed sixth in the 138-pound class and Tanner Ladd was sixth at 215 pounds.
Foxcroft Academy picked up 17 points to finish 25th in the standings.
The Ponies’ Nate Durgin ended the day in fourth place at 138 pounds. Hayden Hanson was fifth at 144 pounds.
Piscataquis Community High School came in 27th with a score of 13 points.
Brady Ball and David Tuttle were each sixth, at 165 pounds and 190 pounds respectively.
Wells High School won the team title with a score of 110 points. Dirigo High School of Dixmont was the runner-up at 86.5 points. For Wells the championship is the program’s third in a row, seven in eight seasons, and ninth overall.
