Center Theatre opens escape room
DOVER-FOXCROFT — The Center Theatre for the Performing Arts has announced that it has opened a new escape room in their small theater called “The Lair of the Gamemaster”. The escape room will be open through Feb. 27. The description on the theatre’s website reads, “The Gamemaster’s secret lair was recently discovered, but authorities still don’t know where the Gamemaster plans to strike next. Your team has to solve the mysterious challenges left behind by the Gamemaster and locate their Playbook in one hour!”
Patrick Myers, the Center Theatre’s executive director, said the theatre hasn’t offered an escape room since the COVID-19 pandemic.

ESCAPE ROOM — The Center Theatre has transformed their small theater into an escape room called “The Lair of the Gamemaster”. The escape room is available to reserve through Feb. 27. Groups of up to six people can make a reservation online at www.centertheatre.org or by calling 207-564-8943.
“During the pandemic, we had the escape room since there weren’t new movies being released,” Myers said. “We thought we’d try it again now during slow times of the year.”
He also said that despite the name “escape room” there are no locked doors, “The term ‘escape room’ is a general term. Our escape room doesn’t have any locked doors. You’re working together with your group to solve a series of games, puzzles and challenges within the one-hour time limit.”
