Tickets are also available at Indian Hill Trading Post in Greenville, Moosehead Bait & Tackle in Rockwood, Lucky Bait in Greenville, and Mountain’s Market in Dover-Foxcroft.
Fish can be weighed at Bartley Event Center at 241 Pritham Avenue in Greenville or Moosehead Bait and Tackle in Rockwood. Weigh stations will be open Friday 3-6 p.m., Saturday 4–7 p.m., and Sunday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
As a final note: We are encouraging anglers to harvest their limit of smaller togue to help control the population. MAINE IFW states that additional harvest is needed to keep the population in check and ensure good growth for togue, salmon and brook trout. The derby has been very successful in helping to manage the fisheries on Moosehead Lake. Let’s keep it up!
The Natural Resource Education Center at Moosehead was incorporated as an educational 501(3)c in 1996. We are a small local non-profit with lofty goals. Our mission is to provide natural and cultural resource-based programming to the residents and thousands of visitors that come to the Moosehead Lake Region of Maine to explore its woods and water. We’ve been working hard for over 25 years and we need your support or our next 25! We have an all-volunteer board of directors so 100 percent of our membership funds and donations go directly to our programs. That’s right, you can be sure your donation will go exactly where you wanted. So buy your derby ticket today!
