MaineCF’s Piscataquis County Committee welcomes three new members
Jane Stitham of Dover-Foxcroft, Maria Wooten of Bowerbank, and Thomas Watt of Greenville have joined the Maine Community Foundation’s Piscataquis County Committee.
MaineCF’s county and regional committees comprise community members who live or work in the region and serve as ambassadors for the foundation, sharing their knowledge and providing on-the-ground leadership for the foundation.
Stitham was formerly a teacher, chief financial officer of the Charlotte White Center and executive director of Pine Tree Hospice. Wooten is the president and chief executive officer of Maine Highlands Federal Credit Union. Watt is the retail operations manager for Indian Hill Trading Post and serves on the Forest Society of Maine advisory council.
Other committee members include Joe Caruso of Dover-Foxcroft; Kristen Lander of Guilford; Wendy McKenney of Parkman; Suzannah Sinclair of Greenville; John Tatko of Monson; and Daniel White of Sebec.
The Piscataquis County Committee’s volunteer advisors review grant proposals for MaineCF’s Community Building Grant Program and recommend grant awards from the Piscataquis County Fund.
Community Building supports a broad range of projects and organizations across the state, including arts, education, environment, economic development, and human services. In 2024, the Piscataquis County Fund awarded six grants totaling $57,000.
