Dexter and Foxcroft wrestle at Husky Winter Classic
PITTSFIELD — The Dexter Regional High School and Foxcroft Academy wrestling teams both took part in the Husky Winter Classic on Friday, Dec. 27 at Maine Central Institute.
Dexter ended the day with 75 points to place eighth among 16 teams.
Noah Woodruff led the Tigers by coming in second in the 126-pound division. Three Dexter grapplers finished in third place by winning their consolation finals matches: Wyatt Cram at 144 pounds; Damiair Miller at 150 pounds; and Tanner Ladd at 215 pounds.
Foxcroft was ninth at the Husky Winter Classic with a score of 50 points.
Nate Durgin led the Ponies by placing second among 132-pound wrestlers. Finishing fourth in their respective weight classes were Hayden Hansen at 144 pounds and Jacobi Poire at 165 pounds.
