Memorial wreath ceremony on Thursday
MONSON — On Thursday, Dec. 12 at 1 p.m. Maine State Police, both active duty and retired, will be holding a wreath-laying ceremony at Hillside Cemetery, 416 North Guilford Road in Monson. Each year the state police honor all troopers who died in the line of duty. At this ceremony they will be honoring Monson’s Trooper Frank C. Wing, who died in a motorcycle accident Aug. 19, 1928.
After the program the Monson Historical Society will be providing refreshments at the museum which is located next to the town office/fire station. For more information call the Bennetts at 207-876-3073.
