SeDoMoCha girls finish sixth at league X-C championship

CORINTH — The SeDoMoCha Middle School girls cross country team earned a sixth-place finish at the 2024 Penquis League Large School championship on Wednesday, Oct. 9 at Central Middle School. The Eagles earned a score of 215 points for the sixth fewest among 10 teams.

Olivia Mishio led SeDoMoCha as she covered the 3K course in a time of 13 minutes, 15.44 seconds, placing her 18th among a field of 131 entrants. Elizabeth Deitz was the next Eagle to cross the finish line as she was 37th in 14:11.54.

The rest of the top five point-scoring SeDoMoCha girls runners were Natalie Cannon, 51st at 15:00.22; Nina Espinosa, 54th at 15:08.03; and Elsa Vandermast, 95th at 17:41.33.

Three other Eagles ran: Katilin Sander, 112th at 19:27.83; Adelaide Bushmann, 115th at 19:30.44; and Maxine Parrish, 120th at 20:00.66.

The SeDoMoCha boys scored 296 points to place 10th among 11 teams.

Hunter McKusick led the Eagles as he came in 10th among 128 entrants with his time of 11:33.64. Grason MacFarlane finished 32nd in 12:48.42.

Rounding out the SeDoMoCha boys contingent was Aiden Sander, 76th at 14:58.33; Abel Mishio, 78th at 15:22.63; and Skyler Patrick, 100th at 17:11.74.
