Girl Scouts of Maine selects Flynn as October Volunteer of the Month
EBEEMEE TOWNSHIP – Piscataquis County volunteer Victoria Flynn from Ebeemee Township has been announced as the Girl Scouts of Maine Volunteer of the Month for October. Flynn is currently involved as a volunteer within the Katahdin Service Unit where she leads a troop of multi-level Girl Scouts, additionally serving as a treasurer.
The Volunteer of the Month is a prestigious title recognized by GSME. It is awarded monthly to an adult volunteer who has demonstrated exceptional dedication and efforts within the organization to benefit Girl Scouts statewide.
Flynn is a valued member and well-known friendly face within the Katahdin Service Unit. Holding several different volunteer roles, Flynn stays busy by ensuring that each Girl Scout has every opportunity to thrive as much as possible. Known for her organizational skills, kind demeanor, and willingness to step up to the plate when help is needed, Flynn is a pleasure to volunteer alongside.
As someone who’s always motivated to gain new skills and experience, Flynn has spent countless hours and much energy gaining certifications such as Youth Mental Health First Aid, archery, and now she’s even in the process of joining the GSME Learning Support Team. Her first-hand experience and affinity for learning makes her an ideal role model for others to look up to and seek out with any questions.
GSME applauds Flynn for her steady commitment, expertise, and dedication to empowering Girl Scouts not just within her troop and service unit, but statewide. Demonstrated through her countless achievements throughout her Girl Scout career, Flynn is a more-than-deserving recipient of this esteemed title.
