Foxcroft and Dexter run at Festival of Champions

BELFAST — Runners from Foxcroft Academy and Dexter Regional High School joined some of the top runners and programs from across the state, New England, and Canada at the 2024 Festival of Champions at Troy Howard Middle School on Saturday, Oct. 5. At Maine’s largest cross country meet nearly 100 schools and over 1,500 runners competed in the boys and girls race.

Foxcroft Academy senior Runner Jarrett covered the 5K course in a time of 18 minutes, 10.05 seconds, finishing 136th out of a field of 895 entrants.

Pony sophomore Pace Jarrett came in 194th at 18:42.62. Sophomore Ethen Eakright was 620th in 22:20.77.

Dexter sophomore Isaac Rounds placed 680th with his time of 23:06.48.

In the girls’ race, Dexter freshman Ella McClintock-Hatch finished 216th among 658 entrants with her time of 23:17.14.

Tiger junior Annabelle Peakes was 248th at 23:41.02 and sophomore Jacee Lounsbury came in 535th in 28:47.32 

Foxcroft Academy sophomore Marion Dietz came in 294th with her time of 24:23.55.
