SeDoMoCha girls and boys X-C both finish third at Bangor

BANGOR — The SeDoMoCha Middle School girls and boys cross country teams each came in third during a meet hosted by the James F. Doughty School at Bangor High School on Sept. 18.

The girls scored 79 points to place third of four schools — Ellsworth Middle School 32 points; William S. Cohen School 39; SeDoMoCha 79; and Doughty 90.

The Eagles’ Elizabeth Deitz was eighth out of a field of 49 runners as she covered the 1.85 miles in a time of 15 minutes, 5.18 seconds. Olivia Mishio was right behind in ninth place at 15:39.32.

Rounding out the scoring top five for SeDoMoCha was Natalie Cannon, 18th at 17:25.59; Nina Espinosa, 19th at 17:28.42; and Eowyn Vandermast, 36th at 20:16.61.

Also running for the Eagles were Kaitlin Sander, 45th at 22:52.39; Adelaide Bushmann, 46th at 22:52.95; and Audrey Cleaves, 48th at 24:47.34.

In the boys’ meet, SeDoMoCha scored 122 points to place third among three schools with full squads. Ellsworth came in first at 25 points, followed by Cohen’s 40.

Hunter McKusick-Slama finished third among 52 runners with his time of 13:33.72. Grason MacFarlane was the next SeDoMoCha runner, 12th at 15:13.82.

The other three Eagle runners were Aiden Sander, 29th at 17:37.25; Skyler Patrick, 32nd at 17:48.75; and Abel Mishio, 46th at 21:48.48.
