Status quo or a brighter future

To the Editor;

We have a clear choice on Nov. 5 to vote for a candidate that will never be satisfied with the status quo. Dr. Richard Evans from Piscataquis County is a clear choice to represent us in the Maine Senate.

Dr. Evans as a physician has witnessed the many issues facing families who live in rural Maine.  Affordable childcare, workforce shortages, poverty, lack of health insurance, access to women healthcare, and the inability to afford a home are just a few issues which greatly affect our neighbors, friends and families.

We need a senator that will be an advocate and a strong voice for all of us in the Maine Senate.   The status quo cannot continue! We have an amazing opportunity to stop being represented in the Legislature by someone who doesn’t even live in our county. Dr. Evans lives in Piscataquis County and knows the many challenges. I will be voting for Dr. Richard Evans for our next state senator.

The Hon. Sharon H. Libby Jones
