Twenty-seven run in Foxcroft Academy’s Pony Pride 3.8K

DOVER-FOXCROFT — Foxcroft Academy graduates, community members, and visitors to the region kicked off the Saturday of Foxcroft Academy Alumni Weekend on Aug. 3 by running in the 2024 edition of the Pony Pride road race. For the third year in a row the course was 3.8 kilometers (nearly 2.4 miles) with the runners staying in town on the Saturday morning.

2024 Foxcroft Academy graduate Zachary Peirce won this year’s Pony Pride, running a time of 15 minutes, 21.7 seconds for the top performance among the field of 27 entrants.

2023 Foxcroft Academy graduate Leah Hill ran a time of 18:47.6 to earn the 2024 Pony Pride women’s title — placing second overall.

PONY PRIDE WINNERS — Leah Hill ’23 and Zachary Peirce ’24 are the women’s and men’s winners of Foxcroft Academy’s 2024 Pony Pride 3.8K on Aug. 3. Hill came in second overall at 18:47.6 and Peirce was first among 27 runners with his time of 15:21.7.

Pony Pride organizers thank race sponsor Edwards Brothers Shop ‘n Save. The race raised over $350 for the Dover-Foxcroft Kiwanis Club Backpack Program, which helps feed the children of the RSU 68 communities.
