Back to School Bash and Vaccination Fair

DOVER-FOXCROFT — The new school year will be here before we know it, and there’s a lot to think about: school supplies, healthy lunches and snacks, required vaccines, bedtime routines, and more. To help children and families get off to a healthy start, Northern Light Mayo Hospital is holding a Back to School Bash and Vaccination Fair on Thursday, Aug. 1 from 4-6:30 p.m. on the Mayo Hospital campus in Dover-Foxcroft.

“Preparing for the new school year takes a lot of time and effort, and we’re here to make it as easy as possible,” says Marie Vienneau, FACHE, president, Mayo Hospital. “Parents will find many helpful resources all in one place: required vaccines, drawing for school supplies, healthy information for back to school, and much more.”

The Back to School Bash will feature:

Drawings – Backpacks stuffed with school supplies (30 winners), gift cards, and more.

Vaccines – Required vaccines for school-age kids and vaccines for siblings six months of age and older (please bring immunization record).

Darling’s Ice Cream Truck – Proceeds will benefit the Piscataquis Youth Positive Action Teams.

Games and activities – Giant inflatable slide, face painting provided by the Piscataquis Youth Positive Action Teams, and more.

Healthy tips for home and school – Start the school year off healthy and well.

Ice cream treats and healthy snacks.

HEALTHY START TO SCHOOL — To help children and families get off to a healthy start for the upcoming school year, Northern Light Mayo Hospital is holding a Back to School Bash and Vaccination Fair on Thursday, Aug. 1 from 4-6:30 p.m. on the hospital campus in Dover-Foxcroft.

Upon entry, kids will receive a punch card to bring to the stations at the event to qualify for the drawings. Parking for the event will be on site at Mayo Hospital located at 897 West Main Street in Dover-Foxcroft.
