Area players shine on the diamond

Local baseball and softball players were honored by the Penobscot Valley Conference for their performances during the 2024 season.

Foxcroft Academy’s Jadon Richard was chosen as the PVC Class C Player of the Year.

Richard was also a Class C First Team honoree, joined by teammates Thomas Day and Hayden Strout.

The Second Team includes Will Spratt of Dexter Regional High School and Jack Day and Calvin Landry of Foxcroft Academy.

The Ponies’ Jack Caruso is a Third Team pick.

Receiving honorable mention recognition was Chase Farnsworth of Dexter and Penquis Valley High School’s Dylan McKenzie.

For Class D baseball, Grady Gaw and Noah Kain were both named to the PVC First Team.

PCHS’ Scott Chadbourne is a Second Team player.

In Class C softball, the PVC First Team includes Desiree Adams of Dexter.

Second Team selections include Dexter’s Lily Bagley and Hannah Dean.

Claire Fogler of the Tigers was named to the Third Team.

The Class D First Team includes Lakely St. Jean of Greenville High School.

The Second Team includes Alayna McMahon of the Lakers.

Greenville softball’s Emery Chambers and Reese Starbird were both chosen for the Third Team.
