All-conference track selections

More than a dozen local athletes were named to the Penobscot Valley Conference Small School Outdoor Track & Field All-Conference team.

Ava Goulette of Piscataquis Community High School was chosen for the girls First Team in both the discus and the shot put.

The Second Team includes PCHS’ Sadie Kelley in the 1,600 racewalk and Jazmin Channon in the long jump as well as Jasmine Hall of Foxcroft Academy in the shot put.

Conner Donahue of Foxcroft Academy was named to the boys First Team in the 100 meters as were Ponies Jack Kingsbury in the 110 and 300 hurdles, Jackson Smith in the high jump, and Hunter McSorley in the javelin.

Jareth Williams of Penquis Valley High School is a Second Team honoree in the 100. Also on the Second Team is Kingsbury in the high jump, Dexter Regional High School’s Brady Jerome in the discus, McSorley in the shot put, and the Foxcroft Academy 4×100 relay — Aiden Bryant, Landon Smith, Eamon Vandermast, and Donahue.
